Hip Hop is the biggest thing to happen to music since Rock ‘n Roll. Now, I’m sure many people will not like that statement. However, it’s true. There have been many major musical movements in the last 50 years, but they all have happened within a genre. Hip-hop is a completely new genre. Granted, it has its roots in many other genres, just like Rock ‘n Roll, but it is such a divergent form that it requires its own classification. For example, grunge was a huge movement in the early 90s, but it still wasn’t offshoot of rock ‘n roll. Hip-hop has become such a force that it can be no longer considered a movement of Rap or R&B. In fact, I can’t think of another genre of music coming about in the last 50 years it has been as powerful and ubiquitous as hip-hop. It really is a beautiful thing.

I really believe that Eminem is going to set the stage on fire. His lyrics are beyond controllable and his swagger is unstoppable. There will definitely not be another artist like him. He is going to tear the roof off the V Festival. By saying that, there are also going to be some good performers at the V Festival. The performers will be Good Charlotte, Rihanna, and a lot of other notable performers will be there. I just mentioned these few, because I have listened to the most out of them all. I know that this year’s V Festival is going to be a dynamite explosion, and that is definitely why I had to buy some V Festival Tickets for my friends and me.

They even played the Journey song that is now featured in Glee, so the kids were happy too!
